Born in Caneva, Alessia Nadin studies in Venice at the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory, where she graduated with top grades under the guidance of mezzo-soprano Stella Silva. She was a student of Mirella Freni and Fernando Cordeiro Opa, and is now followed by Maestro Toni Gradsack.
She is the winner of the 58th CONTEST FOR YOUNG OPERA SINGERS OF EUROPE PROMOTED BY AS.LI.CO. in collaboration with Milan’s Fondazione Teatro alla Scala. Immediately after, she performed the role of Vespina in Paisiello’s Il matrimonio lnaspettato under the direction of Maestro RICCARDO MUTI in Salzburg, Pisa, Ravenna, and Piacenza, receiving great acclaim from critics. She portrayed Stephano in Gounod’s Romeo et Juliette at Teatro Verdi in Trieste, conducted by Maestro Julian Kovatchev and directed by Damiano Michieletto.
Her performance in Amelia al ballo by G. Menotti at the Festival dei due Mondi in Spoleto and at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia conducted by Maestro Placido Domingo is particularly noteworthy. Here, she performed as Cherubino under Maestro Battistoni’s conduction and Ruggero Raimondi’s direction. At Teatro La Fenice in Venice, she played Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, Zerlina in Don Giovanni in the Circuito Lirico Lombardo directed by Graham Vick, and Nicklausse in Les Contes d’Hoffmann.
From there, she specialised in the bel canto repertoire, which became her preferred way of singing.
Among her most recent roles: Giovanna Seymour in Donizetti’s Anna Bolena at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste, Adalgisa in Bellini’s Norma in Messina and Trapani. She also portrayed Adalgisa at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, conducted by Francesco Maria Cianpa and directed by Hugo De Ana; Suor Angelica at the Rome Opera House; she debuted as Ninetta in La Gazza Ladra at Teatro Petruzzelli, where she also played Isaura in Tancredi, conducted by George Petrou and directed by Damiano Michieletto. At Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, she performed as Romeo in I Capuleti e i Montecchi with Fabrizio Maria Carminati, directed by Arnaud Bernard.
SHE MADE HER DEBUT AT TEATRO ALLA SCALA IN THE PRODUCTION OF FRANCESCA DA RIMINI IN THE ROLE OF ADONELLA, CONDUCTED BY FABIO LUISI, WITH THE DIRECTION OF DAVID POUNTNEY.
Since 2024, Alessia Nadin, followed by Maestro Toni Gradsack, presents herself as a SPINTO LYRIC SOPRANO, able to deal with a new REPERTORY with ease, from the ITALIAN one, such as Contessa/Le nozze di Figaro, Donna Elvira/Don Giovanni, Norma, Adriana Lecouvrer, to the GERMAN one, like Senta/Der fliegende Holländer or Elsa/Lohengrin, Marietta/Die tote stadt, to the FRENCH one, like: Micaela/Carmen, Herodiade/Salomè, Thais, to list a few.
